Ya gotta admit Howlin, if he did cross the line, he would be sent away from the unit.
I see no evidence of either as of yet. He is not embedded apparently, but the local commander could have him removed or even shot! LOL!
He has been changing his attitude since working for FOX. He still pushes the line though. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I really don't dislike him, but he is not a favorite either.
Frankly, I do not really care one way or the other. But, I do hope for his sake that he did not screw up.

If the fact that she has gained weight bothers you and others who have posted, perhaps you should write to Fox and have them hire some more fluff reporters with great legs.Roger. Will do. :^)

Actually, it does mention Geraldo, even above Arnett.

Is he really alive or was it a taped segment?

He was interacting with the live anchorman in the studio, so it sure looked live to me.
And no, Saddam's bodyguard wasn't standing behind him either.

the local commander could have him removed or even shot! LOL!I can just see the commander telling Geraldo that he is going to be shot, and Geraldo says, "Can it wait til 10:00 o'clock eastern?--This will be a ratings blockbuster!"
To: mwl1
Absolutly, I almost woke up the neighborhood when she screwed up the meaning of the decision that night.
To: Mamzelle
Reuters, MSNBC, and Yahoo all report that Geraldo is a goner, and they haven't even slowed in the claims. Curious. Geraldo is pissed. He was on Bill O'Reilly's radio show about 20 minutes ago and said he expects retractions from MSNBC and Jeff Greenfield of CNN or he will hit them with $30,000,000 law suits.
If Geraldo did indeed compromise the operational security of the 101st he should be removed IMO, but if the powers that be at CENTCOM and 101st have not ordered him out then MSNBC and CNN should not be reporting otherwise.
To: jbind
get a life, you have no idea what you're talking about. research the facts before you decide.
To: cynicom
so true! you should see the thread from 3/30, look it up! it's too funny.
To: Norman Arbuthnot
WA POST is now carrying Geraldo denying he's been kicked out...I keep thinking if Fox is having him leave, they'd have talked to him by now... Which makes me think maybe MSNBC *did* come up with this to divert from Arnett. The named Pentagon source is the only part that doesn't fit that theory, though.
To: Mamzelle
Does that mean that the Walrus was... Geraldo?

bahaha..leave it to geraldo to stir up a major controversy during this war...
fox is keeping pretty quiet right now. I have to think there is something behind this report.
To: Howlin
That's why this doesn't make any sense at all.Any commander who wants him gone will have to get past the grunts. I was in a company in Vietnam that fired its CO. (No, not fragged, fired.)

MSNBC is still reporting Geraldo's demise as of 3PM Eastern. If the story is not true they will again have fabricated a self serving story. Who watches them anyway?

Anything Geraldo does is always about Geraldo, even if it pretends to be about our brave troops. That's why Fox hired him, because love him or hate him, people watch him.

Howlin' said: "Here you go:
http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/03/31/sprj.irq.war.main.int/index.html." It is now afternoon,3/31 and this link no longer supports the alleged Geraldo "expulsion" that CNN ran with all this morning along with their Peter Arnett 'coverage'.Nothing there. Hmmm.Oh boy, this is just too much fun.Wonder how Howie Kurtz will address this one, since he seems to think CNN is so sacrosanct?
