This is not about whether or not anyone likes or dislikes Geraldo Rivera for whatever reason.
I don't like him myself.
This is about MSNBC broadcasting LIES to divert attention from their own embarrassing association with a TRAITOR.
They went so far as to emphatically insist that they had "confirmed this with military authorities" and that "Geraldo was being escorted back to Kuwait City".
Both of which are baldface LIES.
I wouln't care if the phony report was generated about Geraldo or Ollie North, or Rick Leventhall or Greg Kelly.
BS is BS.
And MSNBC is up to their ears in it.

I agree, this story is still developing.
I saw two sand maps he drew. The first was over the line. It not only told the position of all the troops that were going to advance on the next town, he also showed which side of the river they were on and the direction they were coming from to assault the town.

Greta is OK, but she is much better as FOX's prime legal expert on different shows.

"possible that Geraldo's map in the sand was either disinformation or a ploy to lead Iraqi's into a trap" That's what I think too. The only problem with that theory is that you have to assume that journalists are at least as good as trained monkeys at following directions and getting them right.

Fox and Friends is my LEAST favorite part of Fox. It comes off as so unprofessional.
Speaking of unprofessional...What is the deal with John Gibson's hair?
To: Mamzelle
Indeed. If it was a set-up on MSNBC and CNN, the military just dealt them a body blow. Who would trust them now?
To: Conservababe
Geraldo on Oreilly radio show claiming the whole thing about him being kicked out was a lie! Havent read thru the whole thread, so hopefully this hasn't been reported already many times!
To: Jeff Head
Maybe it was Pysops to lower any respect CNN and NBC have and fake out the really smart Iraqi leaders\s, who are so much smarter than our military leaders. (Except for those who are dead so far)
Reminds me of the stand down where Reuters got outed this weekend, and those who love to post Reuters's bs as something hugh and series!

I am not a fan of them either--I thought most Republicans/Conservatives practiced skeptecisim about the news-including news from FOX. I guess Republicans/Conservatives no longer have the high standards for journalism that they use to.

Geraldo Rivera = Jerry Rivers
"Jerry's" former father in law, the novelist Kurt Vonnegut, did an interview once were he kept refering to Rivera as Jerry. Rivera called Vonnegut a racist for calling him Jerry.
Ther is no love lost between those two. At the time of the interview, Rivera had just come out with a book in which he detailed his sexual exploits with many famous women. These affairs took place while he was still married to Vonnegut's daughter.

I would think FOX would be making a bigger deal of this if it were a bold face lie.

However, you were the commander and showed him what to draw in the sand and what to say, you might want to keep him around.
Time will tell on this interesting side bar.
