I wondered about whether he was over the line since he had all the brigade commanders with him. I don't know what the rules are about revealing positions. One hundred klicks south of B-daddy is one thing. One hundred klicks south of b-daddy on an unfinished road with Ali's Kebab stand across the road is quite another.

I'm glad it was a lie. And what a typical liberal tactic. Say something blatently false, act as if it's true and maybe it will come to pass.

Drawing crude maps in the sand was dumb. But Geraldo was getting the 101st's guys on TV, so their families could see them. That's a great P.R. move, and probably saved his butt.

Dumb? How do you know that? Maybe it was all pre-approved. FOX and Geraldo know the rules.

MSNBC is now reporting that Geraldo has been smacked in the face with a metal chair slung by a neo-nazi audience member.

I agree and said so earlier. I also e-mailed FOX to substantiate the rumor.

Many are quick to run with this unsubstantiated "hit" story like a pack of pathetic liberal sheep following a wolf in sheep's clothing.

This posted thread was an embarrassment.

Respectfully, F_T_D

I just watched an interview by Geraldo (live) that he knew nothing about being fired. Blamed NBC for spreading lies about him. He was still with the 101st.

What is this deal about "drawing in the sand?"

Do our own Freepers not realize that the stuff he is reporting is cleared before it gets on the air? Do they not know he's probably got a "minder" right there, watching what he says?

Hell, most of the "failed" generals on TV draw on the screens every single night!

Correction it is david asman on right now. Geraldo is a lawyer, and he is able to know better what not to say than most of the imbeds. CNN has a series problem quoting mis-information or coming out in print with totally false info. Where is their credibility? Mixed feelings about geraldo, but hooray for him,he is doing a superior job..

Perhaps he was removed from the Baghdad front, or from anywhere he might compromise strategy.

I'll agree with you - I've learned to give him a break. I absolutely despised him on MSNBC and his love for Clintoon. I was shocked and horrified when Fox hired him and at first wouldn't watch his reports. But I think his time in Afghanistan and being with our troops gave him a change of heart. He's still a bit overzealous, but he does do a good job w/ his stories on human interest and painting a picture of what is going on. I'm sure the families of those he had on camera saying hi and "I love you" really appreciated it.

9/11 definitely had an impact on him.

Please change the headline of this to include "HOAX". Geraldo is still in Iraq with the 101st. Frankly I'm glad because I think the man did change quite a bit and deserve a redemption from you people.

It's amazing, but many Freepers are completely unaware of that fact.

But a tribute to a few brave FReepers that stood up inspite of being told that MSNBC, CNN, newsmax AND DRUDGE ALL COULDN'T BE WRONG!

Someone should remind Geraldo that Desert Storm was about drawing a line in the sand, not a map in the sand.

Fox just lost their token Hispanic Jew. Let's see who they come up with to replace him.
