U.S. military officials say Fox News Channel correspondent Geraldo Rivera will be expelled from Iraq after violating the cardinal rule of war reporting Monday by giving away crucial details of future military operations during a live broadcast.

"I think his heart wants only to be in the center of attention."
I agree with that. The same is true with Peter Arnett. One I can forgive to a certain degree - the other I cannot.
Send Geraldo back to Afghanistan. The front lines is not the place for him!

Last night this was a big discussion on a thread, and several said, "Don't worry, he isn't giving away any secrets, because if he is, he will be removed." (not verbatim) So I guess as usual, FR were on top of things.

I was just over at the FOX website to see if they were reporting this - they weren't i imagine there is some pretty fast & furious begging going on between roger ailes and whoever he thinks will do the most good in the gov't to get him reinstated.

Good news. I actually had to switch to CNN last night because I was embarrassed for the troops and sick of the goofy antics of this POS. Good riddance.

Correct. I did not wait around for the diagrams in the sand. The way he used the troops as a TV set and swaggered out between them like he was Jackie Gleason and they were the June Taylor dancers really sickened me. That was enough to get him canned in my opinion.
Add to that the outfit he chose to wear - black sweater and camo pants with suspenders. Eeeeeeuw!

A Freeper mentioned this last night and was lambasted. He was right, of course. Geraldo needs to go.

I do not agree that they are fair and balanced but they are the best we have. I LOVE watching their station because they tell me exactly what I want to hear.
However, I became somewhat irritated with them this weekend when they kept reporting "breaking news" and then showing a video of a bomb blast that had occured 2 hours priors, and that had already been reported on ALL stations.

WTF is Geraldo doing?FR is always ahead of the curve. Liberty, yours may have been the e-mail that saved some of our troops! WTG!

I saw him last night. I couldn't believe he was doing that!

Yea, the "Breaking News: Explosions heard in Baghdad"
Well no $heeeeiiittt, its a war, explosions happen in wartime...Breaking News is "Saddam surrenders" or "Chemical cache found, confirmed by CENTCOM" otherwise, Fox News needs to just report and let me decide if its breaking.

I saw his sand-drawing too. Learned more about the war in 3 minutes than I have since it started. I was certain it had to be dis-information for enemy consumption. Apparently I was wrong.

No it's not. Two overblown egos who think they're bigger than the stories they cover.
