Read rumors of this a few days ago, now we have confirmation and a few new details.
Quote from Moore: Im making a film called Fahrenheit 911, The Temperature at Which Freedom Burns. Itll be about how Bush is using 9/11 and those 3,000 lost lives as an excuse to move along his own conservative agenda.
The documentary "will be about the ties between the BUSH family and the BIN LADEN family... about the changes in America since 9-11..."

I don;t really have a problem with this.
If Farenheit 911 does for Bush what Bowling for Columbine did for anti-gun legistation, we have nothing to fear.

The documentary "will be about the ties between the BUSH family and the BIN LADEN family... about the changes in America since 9-11..." All anybody can ever do in this life is play the hand of cards they are dealt as well as possible. W is doing that. I do not require that he arrest his family for having dealt with Bin Laden in the past.

I recommend that Michael Moore move to France. He would have much more luck finding funding and getting his fraudulent movie made in that corrupt country, than he will here. Saddam will welcome the propaganda help, and both Hussein and Chirac need celebrity allies. Moore has proven himself a fool and a regurgitator of Saddam's propagandist lies. He should seek out the appropriate environment, for the sake of his long term health if nothing else.

Moore says he has heard from one major Hollywood studio and a production company run by an A-list star.
They want to back his next two projects -- "Fahrenheit 911," about the United States after the Sept. 11 attacks, and
"Sicko," about health maintenance organizations and the health-care crisis. Moore's most recent projects have been financed in Canada and Britain.

No, Icon bought the rights to Moore's proposed documentary for eight figures in cash and backend profits.
IMO, any celluloid shot will never see the light of day. Gibson now "owns" this story and has the right to sit on everything Moore does regarding it.
It happens a lot in Hollywood. The same people behind the facts in this story control what's put on the screen. They always have. Left and right skirmishes occur, but ultimately, we see what they want us to see.
In this case, fine by me.

The only people (I say that with a frown) that will watch this so call documentry will be the smucks that gave him a standing O at the Oscurs. They all deserve each other. They all live in a fantasy world anyways.

Gee Mike your going to document the ties between the BUSH family and the BIN LADEN family
Well the BIN LADEN family is very big and didn't attack us... one of the BIN LADEN family did...and that was OSMA BIN LADEN
Why don't you try and document the ties between OSMA BIN LADEN with, you, Saddam & your friends on the left ... much more to see there

Let me stick up for Mel Gibson, because I think some wires have been crossed and he is being unfairly tarred in this mess.
Gibson has been trying to put together a movie version of the classic Ray Bradbury scifi novel "Fahrenheit 451," which he would direct. (See
http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=1238). That book predates 9/11 by decades, and Gibson has been working on his version since at least 1998.
I suspect that Moore chose his title as a pun on or homage to the original novel (which does deal with your typical scifi evil totalitarian government whose firemen are in charge of book-burning--watch Moore try to draw some sort of parallels to the curent administration).
While I have no specific information one way or the other, comments Gibson has made in past interviews suggest that he is a decent man and I cannot believe he would lower himself to have anything to do with this POS (the movie or Michael Moore, take your pick). Also, it would be a weird coincidence for him to work on two similarly titled movies.

I hate to say it, but it wouldn't surprise me if Mel is financing this film. He is a conservative, but of the Pat Buchanan/Lew Rockwell variety. A friend of mine worked with him on some traditional Catholic projects, and Mel does believe in conspiracy theories.
I think Mel needs to realize that Moore is a pro-abortion far left lunatic who doesn't share his values. It could be disastrous for his career if he has anything to do with this film. Even many of his supporters who are standing by him because of his film about Our Lord might abandon him in droves if he is involved with that fat POS.
To: Schuck
I can't believe that Mel Gibson would ever get involved with this vile marxist slob.

Michael Moore is lucky he was born in America. If he'd flopped out of his mother's belly in Iraq, the pig would have had his tongue amputated long ago.
This swine has no respect the many Americans who have died protecting this pigs freedom of speech.
But pigs, like Michael Moore, have no respect for anything, they just love to eat smelly brown stuff and slobber slime out of their mouths.

Well, I hope so.

Mel Gibson's Icon Productions also has optioned Bill's novel Those Who Trespass for the motion picture screen. I enjoyed that novel. Would love the opportunity to boycott Michael Moron's film.
