I beleive the Turks were paid-off by Saddam to hold-up the US 4th Army ID from coming in by the North. We had offered them between 15 and 30 billion plus other incentives. I don't see how a soon to be deposed dictator could match that. LOL.

>> So is it any surprise that the Kurds are welcoming American troops with open arms as well as willing volunteers ready to fight the Iraqis?
You call pelting your troops with eggs and rocks "welcoming American troops with open arms?"
Whenever you think you've got it figured out, take extra time to think again..

The Turks lost any say in the matter when they decided to refuse to allow our troops to enter into Iraq through Turkey. I've lost all respect for them.
To: MadIvan
Turkey lost its say when it refused to allow American troops to open a second front from the north. I couldn't agree more.

Excuse me, but I saw those videos. The egg throwers were in Turkey and not northern Iraq.

I think 30,000 combat-ready soldiers from the PUK would be considered "welcoming... with open arms." The Iraqi Kurds are our friends.

In France!.... DUH?

The diplomacy here must be intense. I'd post an American battalion across the approaches at a set distance inside Iraq, giving it a buffer, and let it be known that "no hostile force will be allowed to pass."
Let Turkey decide if it wants to go to war with America.

You are right - Turks have never been our friends- they are reviled everywhere they go. Their allegiance is to their mafia drug pushing parastate.
Game's up! Finally this heroic President Bush is dismantling the Turkophiles in the government Perle and next is Wolfowitz -

Absloutely...bloody pigs lost any rights whatsoever to have a say in how we conduct this war.
These people cost American LIVES!
Let the Kurds go in, and I say give 'em Kurdistan...they'll be a hell of a lot better allies than the Turks, French or Germans!

I don't care about their ethnicity. It happened in Turkey so Turkey is responsible for this incident. Turkish government probably "set up" this spontaneous expression of hatred

I think what Turkey realy wants is the oilfields, and is using the Kurd bs excuse's to invade Northern Iraq. The Turks are not our friends. Watch themBingo has been called!!!!
