That line about S&A was a corker--it DID make SH think that we'd announce our arrival just like Desert Storm. Also fooled a lot of Americans...that's OK. SH took the bait.Just a thought. If he goes to Turkey, instead of Syria, he'd be

The view on the CBS Baghdad cam has changed from what it has been for days. What are we viewing now?
To: chantal7
I have a black screen on my CBS bagcam, but that's a video problem on my end. The audio is very crisp. More hammering now.

Is someone hammering wood or something on the Bag-cam?
Gregg Jarret on Fox is asking stupid quesitons. Like "Why is Medina so far south of Bag?" Well, they deployed to the Karbala Gap, which is the best place to stop an advance through the gap. Closer to Bag and the location of the advance becomes too indefinite.
Earlier, he (and the very pretty Laurie Dhue) were talking about B-52's dropping bombs on Bag, starting the recent fire. Ummm, I don't think so!

The entire concept of "two term President" took on a different meaning from 1993 - 2001. It was more like consecutive four year sentences.

Re:
Is someone hammering wood or something on the Bagam? Yes, the sound of a hammer hitting wood on and off for the last hour or so.

msnbc cam has the same thing. Hammering, voices, bombing in the background.
To: ChadGore
Oh ok. Yes I can hear the hammering and the view seems to be more of a suburb or side street. There seems to be quite a bit of vegatation between the cam and the road.

I was referring to the Ministry of Information daily briefings, not the Saddam reruns. At the daily briefings there was alwas a portrait of SH behind them...until yesterday.

re:
Dog, do we have ordinance which can extinguish those oil trench fires? It's extreemly experimental, just out of R&D, considered to be the cutting edge, called H2o. :)

You did not really write that...you did!

Has there been any mention in the Press about a certain ghost unit we were discussing yesterday? I just got on and haven't followed news since yesterday.

I'm trying to remember Rather's interview. When he shook hands with him at the end, was the guard there?? I think you have to look at a LOT of videos to come up with the CIA's assessment. Obviously, they have the materials and we do not.
Regardless, except for the paunchy clown with the glasses who looked like he just got out of bed, we have nothing showing Saddam and his sons as being "alive and well".
Though he has always been elusive and rarely seen in public in the last ten years, he made the Gulf War News eventful occasions to show his power and himself to the people. I would say he would do the same, particularly after the Rather interview. His silence (if he is alive) does nothing for the morale of his forces. Of course, they're nothing more than paid killers.

So any guesses on what they're building near the Bag Cam??
To: chantal7
I think they just moved it across the street...roof of the bank building. When it was a little lighter, I thought I could still see the traffic light intersection.
