Agreed. It is so tempting to reduce oneself to the level of those who have such a deep hatred of all we are. Yet there is no hope in getting to anything better, including one of the main objectives of this war, when we do.

In the good old days it was a Rem70/.308 and a pretty-good scope. Clancy makes some references to $10K+ rifles in one of his books (certainly NOT a Rem70!!!)

Hell, with my Coke-bottle glasses I can't see 100 yard target centers anymore...need a 20x spotter (well, maybe a 40x...)
