Walp, our using WMD on Baghdad is ZERO - NATTA - NO WAY JOSE!
The ancient art of seige is about to commence.
Any bets on how long the slums of ragdad can hold out?
BTW: This action (if deployed by the ragheads) will incur immediate retribution throughout the rest of ragdad land on opposing forces.

Surround the city & send in a thousand snipers... They'll be out in a week...

[Although deployment of the weapons would give the lie to Saddam's denial that he had them, officers said Saddam might be calculating that the step would actually turn to his advantage and stunt the American assault.]
And, as a psychopath, he would believe this.

wouldn't this cause the chemical agents to escape, killing iraqi troops in the area? And maybe our troops that are in the area ..

Our troops have the better chem suits and everyone is in them now. First priority will be to evacuate them.
Of course knowing those SOBs they will have their chem weapons stashed in nurseries and hospitals.

You know what'll happen. We'll blow up their chemical weapons depot, unleasing dangerous chemical agents in a given area. Thousands of Iraqis will die, and the Iraqis will claim the U.S. is using chemical weapons on Iraq. Watch and see.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If we get hit with WMD out of Baghdad, we cannot retaliate "in-kind"
At least not ON Baghdad. However, just as we determined in WWII that more lives would be saved and the war would be shortened by at least six months by nuking Nagasaki and Hiroshima, THAT option would be wide open on any remaining large pockets of eneemy forces.
The problem with THAT is there essentially are no other large pockets of resistence other than Baghdad and Basra - which are both off limits to being nuked due to civilian casualties (and rightfully so).
The daisy-cutter and new MOAB options are the only thing left THIS SIDE of nuclear.

I assume that our gnomes out in Los Alamos have been busily constructing neutron bombs of the appropriate yield for battlefield use if the lid is taken off the WMD bunker by the Iraqis.
I believe that the position of the United States has been clear on this for all time. Use WMDs on us and we will use them on you. Only then, but then for sure. Otherwise it is not a deterrent.
And the only WMD device that makes sense in this situation is the neutron bomb.

If somehow an operation could get proof of WMDs, Sadaam would crumble. Why? From shame? Saddam exposed as liar, immediately offers to turn himself in?
