Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

You have an excellent point, regarding Clinton. I wonder if he's been behind the anti-American attitude of our ex European friends. Interesting that he couldn't get to Blair.

You have a point there ..

Gary Hart. Do you remember why he had to bow out of his run for Presidency. He has the disease called Clintonitis.

Another human shield bites the dust (not literally!).
This is an Assyrian minister, born and raised in Japan. In his upbringing, his family witnessed the reconstruction of Japan after WWII. There are approximately 1 million Assyrians in Iraq, so Ken Joseph went there to protest any upcoming war. He writes of arriving in Iraq:
The first order of business was to attend Church... Following a beautiful `Peace` to welcome the peace activists in which even the children participated, we moved to the next room to have a simple meal.
Sitting next to me was an older man who carefully began to sound me out. Apparently feeling the freedom to talk in the midst of the mingling crowd he suddenly turned to me and said `There is something you should know.` `What?` I asked surprised at the sudden comment.
`We didn't want to be here tonight`. he continued. `When the Priest asked us to gather for a Peace Service we said we didn't want to come`. He said.
`What do you mean` I inquired, confused. `We didn't want to come because we don't want peace` he replied.
`What in the world do you mean?` I asked. `How could you not want peace?` `We don't want peace. We want the war to come` he continued.
What in the world are you talking about? I blurted back.
That was the beginning of a strange odyssey that deeply shattered my convictions and moral base but at the same time gave me hope for my people and, in fact, hope for the world.
Beginning that night and continuing on in the private homes of relatives with whom I stayed little by little the scales began to come off my eyes.
Since he's a minister, you might say he experience a "conversion on the road to Baghdad".

Another typical idiot who is so full of himself he wouldn't believe the truth when it was out there.
Are all these human shields that "wake up and smell the coffee" from Missouri?
This information was readily available to anyone with half a brain....oh wait, he didn't have one.

Again, human shields who get vaporized should not be counted as collateral damage. They are merely organic debris.

Putin and other Russian officials are simply afraid of the humiliation they will suffer when we find Russian labels on all the chemical and biological WMD we find in Iraq and Syria.
To: Miss Marple
Wooo Hooo! I'm on a roll tonight!
Another Clinton quote, from David Letterman Show, 9/12/2002:
Letterman asked, "Are we going into Iraq? Should we go into Iraq? I'd like to go in. I'd like to get the guy. I don't like the way the guy looks." Clinton: "He is a threat. He's a murderer and a thug. There's no doubt we can do this. We're stronger; he's weaker. You're looking at a couple weeks of bombing and then I'd be astonished if this campaign took more than a week. Astonished."

Please don't let my psychotic outburst kill the Live Thread. I'm just a little tense with the Bag-cam down.
