Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I just got Sky about 30 minutes ago, took about an hour of tries. I think they have a limited amount of allowable connections and you need to grab one as someone drops off.

What do you all think of General Wesley Clark on CNN? I like him. Wesley Clark is a POS Clintonista Democrat presidential wannabe ... when he is not bad mouthing the strategy for this war, he is reminiscing about his days as hillary's favorite general, and bombing the Chinese embassy by accident.

What do you all think of General Wesley Clark on CNN? I like him. But I have to say, my favorite "talking head" is that older gentleman on FNC... he has a very raspy voice, but he says some of the funniest things I have ever heard. Who is you all's favorite "talking head"? Clark is a Clinton flunkie.
Col. Hunt just jerks around too much for me. He starts off on a thought and wham, he locks up. That and the huge pflegm ball he is coughing up just gags me.
Major Bob Bevalaqua is no BS and straight to the point. SF guy who knows both sides of the fighting.
To: Tree of Liberty
Hmm... I didnt realize that.

Saw this on Command-Post.Org
British soldiers have to destroy letters and photos which they receive from home. The only details carried by the troops are identification card, ID discs, a medical card and dollars. . . . "It might seem harsh that we have to destroy the mail, but it is for a very good reason because if a soldier is captured he could be put under psychological pressure if an interrogator has personal photographs or a home address."
Then why do they allow CNN to spill into the background of the POW's and parade their friends and relatives on TV?

Bah, that's bush-league stuff. They need to learn to use bras as water balloon launches and cellophane on the toilet seat.
To: hmmmmm
That is what he said, that he'd been awakened by shouting of gas gas gas. I wonder if non-standard drills are used to see how they respond?
He IS in Recon (LAR), right? If they spotted iraqi's and drums, wouldn't it be a breach of intel for him to say something about it?
It's late here, I gotta hit it. Night y'all. Prayers for all of our troops--a shield of protection around them all and may they be given a Divine Force Multiplier.
