Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

A Medal for Gen. Vince: I'd leave the design to more artistic types, but I might call it the "Longsuffering in the face of ^$$#o!&$" medal.

That's what FReeRepublic great. We can find the data which refutes the lies very quickly. Unfortunately, the sheeple seldom listen to the facts.

Believe me, I have thought and thought about how to get to that Qatar press corps. The only thing I can think of is writing the Wall Street Journal. What do you think?
To: Ragtime Cowgirl

Brit asking press not to harass families in their grief. Says it is common human decency, not spin.
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
The first Aid ship is actually docked in Umm Qasr... The Sir Galahad.

This is good news. 200 miles into western Iraq, by the scale on my map puts them in as far east as An Nukhayb, any where north or in the vicinity of that.

We're in Texas this week (qualifying's at 3 on Fox Sports Net)
Sounds a lot like the Brits are in a holding pattern with their 40,000.
