Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

my husband made the statement that General Wallace has a tendency to blame other people for mistakes that are made Thanks for that inside info, Laura. PC victimization BS is contageous. Our reporters are clever w/ their questions..."Poor baby" is more effective than physical beatings for getting someone to "spill the beans", imho.

More support for doing things right the first time.Unfortunately, we have a history of that. North Korea in 1953, Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968, Nicaragua in the 80s, etc. Too often, our ability to do Right is hampered by the lethargy or active hostility of the rest of the world...

IMHO, they booted the wrong element from these briefings.
So, what else did I miss besides the briefing, another report of chemical artillery shells (from the British media, this time), a Rick Leventhal report that the Medina RG division was unloading drums of an indeterminate substance while wearing chemical suits, and Mrs. Anthrax?

Some of that traffic might be taxis carrying messages to Iraqi soldiers. I heard on FOX a couple of days ago that was the method being used.

RE: MSNBC webcam #6. I haven't been able to get any sound from it for days. But, sometimes Bloom or Kerry Sanders have left it running--interesting to see the guys in the field going about their day-to-day, without the network talkingheads rambling on and on.

Yeah it is really cool to watch them do their day to day activities.

Plus, people walking out on the street. Well, apparently the buses are still running.
One reporter, early this morning, said many telephone lines into Bagdad were still operational.

Krauthammer's columns are always on the mark. In this one, I particularly agreed with his remarks about Bush NOT giving sway to Blair re a return to the UN and allowing Kofi access to governing Iraq.

I just can't get over the amount of traffic
Also I wonder about those huge busses that travel at night.

Great thanks. Someone claimed both countries had not (anti-american-propaganda-alert).
