Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Good Morning Situation Room!
Thanks for the Centcom recap, as always your efforts and exceptional typing abilities are appreciated. These threads grow by such volumes, it's almost impossible to keep up.
My Sky News feed is not working - may be an old link. Is anyone having an success with Sky and could a new link be provided? Thanks.

Reminds me of an add that ran in our paper a few years back.
"For sale 2,012 pigs!"
What the farmer has said was: "Two sows and 12 pigs."

I'm not sure whether Wallace is the lower-level commander in the field who complained about disruptions in the supplies to the troops...or the lower-lever commander who told the press that we underestimated the strength of the resistance. The press is clearly causing mischief...asking leading questions to those in the field (and in hospitals..and families of POWs). Clymers.
Maj.Gen. Brooks stressed the "lower level commanders", heh: what I do know ..again...our commanders talk to each other..there will always be things that occur on the battlefield (unplanned....strength is in flexibility)..at the operational level ...things going as planned."
Think these "lower-level" commanders will soon be relocated?

Last Sunday the people who were arrested in San Francisco on FELONY charges had them reduced to misdemeaners by the DA. Talk about showing support for the police!
