Judicial Watch Slaps Subpoena on Iraqi Ambassador to United Nations Thursday March 27, 2:51 pm ET
Testimony, Documents Sought on Iraq's Involvement in Oklahoma City Bombing and 1993 World Trade Center Attack
WASHINGTON, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today served a subpoena for testimony and documents on Mohammed Al-Douri, who serves as Saddam Hussein's ambassador to the United Nations.
Judicial Watch is suing Iraq for victims of the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City, OK.
A default judgment is pending against Iraq in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The suit alleges Iraqi government involvement in the conspiracy with Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols to blow up the building. (A copy of the complaint is available on the Internet at www.judicialwatch.org.)
As Iraq has a history of using its diplomatic corps to perpetuate terrorist conspiracies, Judicial Watch believes Ambassador Al-Douri has information concerning not only the Murrah Building bombing but the related 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Judicial Watch's lawsuit cites reporting from Philippine intelligence and law enforcement sources concerning meetings between convicted Murrah Building bombing accomplice Terry Nichols and Ramzi Youssef, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, during Nichols' travel to the Philippines between 1990 and 1994. Additional evidence obtained under the Freedom of Information Act reveals Interpol's efforts to apprehend two additional Oklahoma City bombing suspects and information in the agency's files associating Ramzi Youssef with the attack.
(Suspected September 11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, now in United States custody, has also been linked to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and Youssf through the Philippines.)
"The Oklahoma City victims of Iraqi-sponsored terrorism want answers. We are seeking testimony and documents from Al-Douri to help unmask the truth about Iraqi government involvement in terrorist acts on United States soil," stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.

Pretty humorous.
It's good to see ol' Larry "My Fifteen Minutes Of Fame Never Expire" Klayman annoying someone who NEEDS to be annoyed for once.

Ask any Iraqi, they'll tell you how much they just hate having their poenas slapped, sub or otherwise.

ROFLMAO - Clearly and utterly unenforceable. The FTC really ought to shut down his fundraising, because it is an outright and utter fraud.

once the so-called iraqi government is overthrown, he will be exiting the U.N. anyway and if we are lucky he will be arrested.
To: martin_fierro
Al-Douri denied that the Oklahoma bombing ever took place... citing photographic evidence that Broadway is still there.

Klayman is a lawyer. He knows about diplomatic and soverign immumity. He is an embarasment to conservatives, and I'm not so sure he is even a conservative.

I previously donated regularly to Judicial Watch and then watched as ol' Larry got sideways with some of his projects and stopped.
This effort, however, is worth quite a bit for entertainment purposes.
Might warrant another donation. Nah! I'll be getting mail from them forever if I bite again.

At an indiviudal level, it in analogous to Belgium bringing indictments against every international leader for crimes against humanity like they have done with Ariel Sharon, Colin Powell(?)

Klayman may be a flake of sorts, but I am convinced Jose Padilla is John Doe #2.
