Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.

I was scanning the beginning of the thread..you had some awesome comments.....my problem is thayt I can easily handle FR and the TV simultaneously..it's the remote control that I lack an appendage for....so I'm tending to watch the tube more, get FR in spurts...at 2am this morning, got the great press briefing where the Al Jackass reporter got his head handed to him...AND Laurie Dhue on GFox at the same time..NO way a woman can look that good at that hour...

I respect McCaffrey. His opinion is based on his years of combat experience under Republican and Democrat commanders. The essential point that he makes, and that every general would make, is that it sure would be nice in a perfect world to have another division, particularly an armored cav division to protect supply lines.
It was Clinton who downsized the military so drastically. We lost some divisions under Clinton and civilianized logistics which is why our support troops are now having a hard time defending themselves. Wonder why McCaffrey never had a problem with the weakening of our military which he knows for a fact happened under Clinton? I don't recall ever reading that he ever resisted the downsizing. In fact, he was happy enough with Clinton that he worked for him. He is stained by his past associations.

Just stick to the pics...their news is slanted waay left but they do reply to e-mails and feedback. I screamed at them yesterday for having the IRaqi blame of missile damage as their headline. Got an e-mail back from their editor asking what they should do...
haven't had time to reply.
MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE PIC OF SURGERY ON THE 2 YEAR OLD IRAQI CHILD...AMAZING!

When I went to the gym this morning (I do leave my house!) I drove by Ft Hood...you can hardly see the gates because of all the War supporters....
and not a single protester around..Probably because behind the Rally stands 40 armed soldiers :-)
