Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Anyone see Bill Kristol (sp) on FN last night nailing WP for running today's front page "opinion piece" as "news"? I did. It's the WP, so the slant is expected.
What surprised me is that the NYT criticized Peter Jennings. I like when they eat their own, bwahahahahaha

I missed Kristol but I did catch the shortened Fox All Stars segment on Brit's show. He asked the panel (Barnes, Kondrake, Liasson) how they thought the war was going. Mara started off by calling the effort "slow and steady". I was nearly screaming - SLOW - this is the fastest movement of artillery in the history of warfare. We've made phenomenal progress. I'd love to find her email address and start off my critical correspondence with - Mara, you ignorant s!ut. GRRR!

SkyCam shwoing Security Council room. Everyone wants the US/Britain out of reconstruction.
My reaction is censored.

Just saw a short rebroadcast of the Iraqi UN ambassador (combover) and his rant about the 'aggression' againt Iraq. Did you ever notice that all these thug regimes have said so many lies and rantings thru the years, that an all out assault leaves them with nothing to say that they haven't said hundreds of times already?

In a bit of good news: Portland firefighters had been ordered to remove the flags from their firetrucks because it "might upset the many protestors in the area".
After a most excellent Freep effort, that order has been rescinded.

Cool! I heard him in an interview on Atlanta radio earlier this week. He was talking about how well he played last weekend and how he hoped it would carry over this week. He said he thinks he needs to be top 5/10 to get to Augusta.

Thank you kindly for your nice words but its survivors who do the real work.
