***Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - Day 8 - LIVE THREAD***
Various | 3/27/2003 | Me

Posted on 03/26/2003 9:04:14 PM PST by Centurion2000

Good Morning.

This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.

It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.

Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:

Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Where do we find such brave men!?

There are many such brave men (and women) all around the world.

Except in France, it seems.

What General Brooks really wanted to say was "Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on your way out."

I couldn't find a thread, either. But here's a link that might have the description you're thinking of. Do a page search for "highway" or scroll about 3/4 of the way down the page.

Thanks for bringing us that classy statement by Tiger. He's next to tee off at The Players' Championship. My nephew's already off and played two holes... -1 at this point. I LOVE that tournament...I'll have carpal tunnel by the time I switch between all these thread/webcams and switching channels. Love it.

Now we can cue up the AC/DC.

How about "Armageddon Days (Are Here Again)" by The The? That's a good song to bomb things to.

War coverage falters amid harsh realities

The Washington Times goes after too eager journalists

What is the trigger for popping the keg?

The primary trigger is "thirst," but "hunger" can be used in a pinch.
