It's gotta be a little hard to find yourself on the sidelines this time around. You must be wearing a hole in the carpet, pacing around and watching the news ;)

Just how accurate do you think these unit readiness and deployment figures are? They're not *readiness and deployment* figures, they're the Order of Battle, or *OOB* for the operation in Iraq, and if they're not accurate, we'll have shortfalls in supplies, since that OOB is what's used to estimate the logistical requirements for food, POL, water, communications equipment, ammunition and other critical supplies needed to keep an army moving and operating.
Like any plan, they're subject to revision and change, particularly in combinations for tactical operations once those operations have been partially or fully achieved. And I've found at least two minor goofs in there, possibly a result of alterations to the original, and maybe not. And overall strategic or political considerations can certainly affect such groupings of men and materiel, but as a good general guide for armchair observers, it's better than just in the ballpark.

Do you think that the Saddam loyalists moned their most loyal elite troops into Syria, under cover, with chem and bio weapons and missles to use once some circle around Bahgdad is broached?
