These types of laws or wrong and they are tyrannical. I have debated this subject with Democrats for years, and they just don’t get it. I try to tell them they should have the right to fire a right-wing, Christian fanatic as we should be allowed to hire and fire who we want. They don’t care. They say I hate gays….Republicans are soooooooo full of hate, don’t ya know? I don’t hate anyone. I just have a moral code that tells me some things are right and some things are wrong.

This issue terrifies me and has been up for discussion in our church for almost 30 years. Our church has long been afraid of these types of laws. We could all be sued and bankrupt. Our church does not believe in hiring women ministers who would speak publicly in services (she can speak among other women though). Simply put, we believe in male preachers. (I don't want to start a religious debate please. I have female friends who are pastors in other denominations and it doesn’t bother me, but it won’t be happening in our church).

Each of our churches is autonomous. We have a right to hire and fire anyone we want. The money in the church bank account is considered God's money, therefore can only be spent for his good works and the spreading of the gospel. We feel we can only pay a preacher who is living right in the sight of God with the Lord’s money.

If a pastor is found to be living an unrighteous life, he must repent or he will be fired, period. No questions asked…..you’re outta here. If our preacher was found to be a homosexual, he will be fired immediately. We could be in a lot of trouble with these types of laws. I can’t stand to think about it. Much prayer is needed.

Once it starts out west, it only takes a few years to make it across the nation.

Sorry this was so long. This is an important issue for me.

Someone help me out here. Didn't the Supreme Court rule that the Boy Scouts had the right, as a private organization to decide who could be members/employees without worrying about being pc?

I could be remembering this incorrectly.
