who was the pedophile? Roman Polansky, who is still a fugitive from US Law. In the 1970's, he seduced a 14 year old girl, and fled the country to France to avoid a trial. He has lived in France for the last quarter century because they won't extradite him back to Los Angeles. His movie won best screenplay, best actor, and the best director award for himself, which he couldn't pick up, because the LAPD would arrest him on sight.

I can proudly say I have never, not once in my 33 years watched the Oscars or any award show, except maybe parts of the MTV awards when I was younger.
Even before I became militant in my beliefs, I could not stand the idea of watching the same pampered idiots show up year after year acting like what they do is important. I just never got it.

The next direction that the "free speech" actors will get from the Entertainment Industry is: SHUT YOUR MOUTH! They just don't get it. It's only the radical left in the blue cities that are against this war -- not "real" America. It's actually kind of fun watching these Hollywood idiots self-destruct.

Did they really boo? What did Steve Martin say? I couldn't bear to watch, but I'd love to hear anything bad that might have happened to him. ;-D

My wife watched it, I didn't. The entertainment business has become much to self congratulatory, award ceremonies abound on TV. This serves to dilute viewership the Academy Awards once enjoyed, when they were the only show of that type. In fact, I can remember back to a time when the Academy Awards were one of the most watched shows on TV, right up there with the Rose Bowl, and Super Bowl.

Roman Polanski, or something like that. He fled to France years ago, and is still there.

Very telling that he got a standing "O".
No wonder they hate Bush. He is a good man.
Libs always side evil on any issue.

Which is probably why Hollywood considered postponing the Oscars...they knew the ratings would be down and they just couldn't face the rejection. But being the valiant warriors they are, they made a sacrifice for their country and went forward without the red carpet and the bleachers full of admiring peasants.

yep, he really did bash Moor-ON...something like "wow, you should see the love right now backstage..the teamsters are helping Moore into the trunk of his limo" .... What was really nice to watch was the HUGE laugh he got from the crowd.

I hope the ratings send this message to the Hollywierd spoiled brats:
"YOU ARE NOTHING BUT SELF-ABSORBED, VAPID, IRRELEVANT IDIOTS!!!!!" Perhaps we should form a coalition of the willing to eliminate their weapons of mass dysfunction.

And petahjennings will start tonight off with:
We begin our broadcast tonite with reports that Americans threw another temper tantrum lastnight by throwing Hollywood out of their living rooms. In a selfish and, clearly misplaced show of concern for American troops invading Iraq, the American people chose to ignore the real important event of the day and with it, a chance to understand the real motivations of President Bush as told by Martin Sheen.
In Iraq today, more set backs for the invaders......
