*Sigh*

The Tree of Liberty is being watered once again by the blood of heroes.

God rest their souls, comfort their families, and may they receive all the glory and honor they deserve when we have acheived victory in their name.

And may those who dishonored them in life and in death feel 'the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword'--sooner, rather than later.

Iraqi troops fell into a pattern of attacking rear-guard allied soldiers as the invasion force moved north.

I would think that more soldiers/Marines could have been left behind for rear guard action if we had more troops moving in to Baghdad from the north. If there is one good reason to dislike Turkey, this is it.

An absolutely incredible number...

"He died a Marine, he died in combat, he died leading his troops and most of all, he died with honor."

How can someone not have immense pride for these soldiers?

I hate to say it, but this whole thing is turning into a quagmire, if they do not stop trying to act so politically correct, and start bombing heavily, there is no way they will capture Baghdad.

"Asked why the coalition has not bombed Baghdad's television station, whereby the regime can communicate with its citizens, the defense secretary said Saddam has placed civilians around the facilities."

It's too bad they weren't blessed with cable. Time-Warner would have gone black days ago with the rumble of the first missile strike.

Paramilitary = fedayeen = Syrians, Egyptians, Saudis, Somalis, Sudanese and other assorted Muslim misfits.

As the war for Iraq is winding down, the conflict with miltant Islam is merely beginning.

WHY do they continue to refer to these murders as executions???? An execution is a punishment delivered by a recognized government after a trial in accordance with an establlished code of laws.

These heros were murdered in violation of the Geneva Convention. The only possible "Codes" their murderers were following were fundamentalist Islamic ones.
