Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

BBC running tape from Iraqi TV of American POW's (2 Apache crewmen) and all their identification cards. They look scared, but to be in good shape (not physically wounded).
God be with them.

make it so.

We need UN support afterward for reconstruction and other things. It's very costly. Turning Baghdad into a hole will destroy that.

Was this about the chemical weapons factory, the Scuds, etc. which all were proven false?
To: Carolina
Exactly what my husband says (see #3229).
To: JFC
I just have the CNN Baghdad webcam. I refuse to turn on the TV. Too much propaganda

Heard that on the radio here a little while ago. They said they didn't interview them like they did the other POW's and the report said they "looked confused."
To: pitinkie
It's over now, but they are still discussing it.
You have to copy and paste it:

Prediction: since we have had all the "are we there yet" questions and "quagmire" references today, I think that tomorrow they will start the whisper campaign on Tommy Franks.
"Unnamed Pentagon sources" will tell us that he is "too cautious" or "too worried about PR." "Doubts about his strategy" are "Creeping into conversation."
Mark my words.

Thanks

Tell your hubby to try WSVN Fox news affiliate in Miami: mms://216.242.118.140/broadband.

"looked confused"........
more like shocked, and a little worried as to what will happen to them (considering the regime's known torture tactics)
Let's get those boys out of there.
