Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

No Rumsfeld.
At least her coat is one color.

Ooh, no wonder. They've been listening to those darn special order speeches!
Out for lunch... time to go count the protesters across the street.

Yesterday's jacket stroked me out!

My thoughts on that possible chemical weapons building: If the regime knows we've found WMD, their legacy in the world is solidified and they have nothing to lose by using them either on their own people or our troops.
The analysts try to out-figure the enemy and it's entirely possible this is mis-information.
Find it hard to believe there's a camouflaged building guarded by 30 guys and an electric fence for nothing. Regardless, if not this building - there are literally tons of chems and biologicals there and we'll find them. While being shot at, I might add (a little problem the UN didn't have).

Unless the color is off on my TV....it looks like white and blue cording on the jacket. VERY patriotic, imo.

Torie must have been alerted to the neopololitan jacket bashing, that or she fired her husband.
To: Carolinamom
Yup, it was so bad that my husband commented on it. LOL
To: prairiebreeze
Military commentator on MSNBC saying that our military command needs to tell the troops to fire back at hospitals etc. so that we don't take the casualties taht we did over the weekend. That we are not trying to win a PR war.

This jacket is much better, but out of her usual navy blue blazer type clothing.
New theory: personal shopper.
Torie talking about POW treatment. We have 50 Iraqiprisoners on hospital ships getting medical treatment.
Another warning and caution for media if they are not embedded.
To: Mo1
Tori Clarke emphasizes that we are treating prisoners humanely and expect Iraq to do the same.
She is listing progress and that at the same time we are planning an influx of aid.
Warning and caution to the news media, particularily the independent media. Reports of loss and injury to non-embedded journalists.

To: abnegation
LUCKILY.......we are astute enough to look past the 'wrapping' and see the intelligence within.
(that should get me another credit on my 'life' slate..wink wink)

we already lost the PR war - that's why we are there now instead of two months ago. Evil is VERY good at PR.
To: abnegation
Wonder if any are Helen look alikes? (g)Those will be the first ones taken out! I couldn't imagine that thing coming at me!
To: abnegation
Wonder if any are Helen look alikes? That would be Usama bin Laden.
To: retrokitten
Gen. McChrystal talking about unintended civilian casualty with regards to bomb dropped on Syrian bus.
