Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Car found in Kuwait with a package inside ....bomb squad called in .....they blew it up....to be on the safe side..No,no,no. I said leave the bomb and take the baklava!

William La Jeunesse talking about bomb scare in Kuwait. Says the ARAB MEDEA has been inflaming the people with the way they are covering the war. Says they have blackout drapes on theier hotel room windows to foil snipers and they have to be careful that their vehicles don't get planted bombs.
See? We SHOULD take out Al Jazeera! George Tenet, get your guys busy on this project!

I wonder if it will take the un-UN 12 years to stop the current action? How many votes will it take? Can we veto any resoulution in un-UN calling for an end to hostilities?

Told a Florida friend about FR. She sent me an email on the Sarasota FR Rally. She's pretty busy but she'll show up as a Freeper one of these days. She'll fit in nicely.

Could someone give me a briefing of today's events?
Most of the people on here don't like Rush anymore. After, along with William F. Buckley and Ronald Reagan, bringing the Conservative movement into the forefront, they have decided he is no longer needed.

Iraqis with bullets holes in their heads, dead, or otherwise beaten up? I have never seen it. Actually I was pissed over the whole thing. Then I was watching CBS news last night and they had a live report of Dan Rather with 3rd ID (?). The story was about an ambush site that was setup by the Iraqis. The cameraman zoomed in on the dead bodies of two Iraqis close to the end of the segment and stayed on them for at least 10 seconds. If we are going to show footage like that, we have no right to complain about the footage taken by Iraqi TV.

If we're avoiding riling up the world or Islam, when will we learn? When will you learn that making trouble is not worth it? Fight one battle at a time, and don't play into Saddam's and Osama's propaganda.
Are you chomping at the bit to Crusade and kill Muslims? There are recruiting stations all over the country.

we can veto anything the UNSC passes.. Cracked me up when BeebDweeb asked the Arab minister: Do you still trust the Sec. Council? Hahahahaha. Of course, BeebDweeb had to make a snipe at the "right-wingers" in the US.

"I never have any warnings about these Bad Cat Days but I
am convinced it is a national movement."
I believe it is. My cats seem to want the computer chair only when I sit down to Freep. Then they're all over the keyboard. Extra litter box action, more cries for food... yep, they're all in it together.

RE packages to our troops: I heard announcement on TV today that we were NOT to send care packages because they would be destroyed. Guess that lets the Guild projects out of the picture.
To: killjoy
That was CBS call, NOT the U.S. Government. That is the difference, although CBS should be just ashamed as AJ.

BBC breaking: 22 Arab League members calling on the UN Sec. Council to bring end to war. They're afraid that the WMDs that they wished Iraq could develop enough to strike Israel will be destroyed before that can happen. Sorry, but we're going to disarm Iraq.

yep, they're all in it together.I think you are right. When I am on my home pc, the littlest cat lays down in my lap and pushes her cold nose into my arm repeatedly until I pet her. The other one sits on top of the monitor trying to attack the cursor.
