The father of a Marine Staff Seargent killed in the war was shown on the news carrying a snapshot of his late son, blaming President Bush for killing his only son.
Call me insensitive, but NO ONE forced his son to enlist, or in this case re-enlist more than once to serve his country. The son is a hero, as far as I'm concerned. The father, though I grieve with him, is a boob!
I dare you to flame me.

No flame from me. The father is among those who think Bush is in office illegally, who against the war, and who think money spent on the war would be better used enabling welfare louts and padding the pockets of victimologists. Of course he blames Bush.

Does anybody have a link or source for this man's 2nd appearance before the media?
To: Blue Collar Christian
No link or source but I saw it on one of the cable news channels. I am surfing all of them. Saw him holding up a picture or drivers license and crying in the first one where he blamed Bush and a group shot of him and his family sitting on a sofa in the second one. The crawl underneath said he expressed support for the war effort.

I guess his son only joined for the job and benefits???

I understand that, but I've never had the desire to run to the news media with my grief. It's very bizarre and has an oder of insincerity - whether death is military or civilian.

I agree, the father is disgracing his sons sacrifice by blaming president bush. i saw him on t.v. ranting and raving...it was very strange. Agreed the loss of a child is never easy and can cause some to be irrational. I think the media overplayed that piece to fit their agenda.

I feel sorry for the memory of the son.... his father dishonors his life and memory.

I am going to excuse this man's idiotic rant as extreme grief. I hope president bush calls this guy personally and then i wonder if he'd say that.

I just e-mailed NBC here in Los Angeles, wanting them to clarify whether I just missed their coverage of the follow-up Saturday, or if it was not newsworthy. Hopefully they respond with a link to their coverage. If so, I make a post, if not, I'll make a post.
I'm keeping my asworstes suit on for you who want to flame me.

Thank you brother.

I searched and searched Drudge's news search-engines, FR, Google, others can't find a whisper about it except for the few who saw it here. I'd like to read about it, too.
