I think, but i'm not sure, that indicates possible incoming chem attack. I believe it is a signal to put on gas masks. That was my first horrible thought too, but apparently not.

The embedded reporters who are real people and not left wing fanatics will have made friends with military people who will rise in command structure.
The embedded reporters now have an idea of what our troops face in battle. Now they know of their professionalism and what they do not to hurt innocent civilians.
Embedding the reporters is good for them and the military. They now know that if they reveal a military position like where they are, that can cost lives of our people.
The man/woman who came up with the concept of embedding was a genius.

I know we all have problems with Geraldo, but he did a wonderful show from Afghanistan last night. Just brought tears to my eyes watching him with those troops.

Wow--at the end, Leventhal sounded exhausted--that must have been an immense rush of adrenaline during the situation, leaving him completely drained in the short aftermath.

He started actually looking exhausted yesterday. You could see the circles under his eyes, and his complexion was terribly white.

I believe it was Torie Clark - assistant press secretary at the Pentagon - that came up with the idea of embedding the journalists.

I missed this as was watching Rumsfeld chew a new hole in Wolf Spritzer on CNN. Wolf! The regime is OVER! Get it through your head! The Iraqi people live under a tyrant and we are going to liberate them!

"Bring in the A-10's. Bring in the Longbows." Sounds like they did.

leaving him completely drainedAnd god only knows when they might get a chance to sleep again. These men, reporters included, are incredibly brave. I have a chill just thinking about it.

She is one sharp lady. I read the WSJ article about her this Friday. What a blessing she has been for Rummy and the administration.
Thanks for the info!

You are a naughty nurse! The latter is named after a dildo (Burroughs, Naked Lunch) and the former a real dildo.

I know we all have problems with Geraldo, but he did a wonderful show from Afghanistan last night. Hopefully 9/11 brought him to his senses. His emotion seemed authentic enough last nite but I also know he's a great actor, a la Clinton. Time will tell once he returns stateside.

I believe 9 11 changed Geraldo. No matter what a scoundrel he is,he's helping morale over there and over here. Go 82nd!
