I think, but i'm not sure, that indicates possible incoming chem attack. I believe it is a signal to put on gas masks.

Rick said more fire going out than coming in. that's good.

Gun turret hydrolics making it difucult to hear him right now. He said something about "night vision" "behind us" "not sure if we hit it or not"
Numerous iraqis dug in nearby.
Position undisclosed

It's a bit unnerving. The audio sometimes cuts out, so one is left with a repeated impression that it was his last transmission. Yikes.

Thank you for that information. What a morning. I've only been awake for about 40 minutes and am trying to catch up. Most of what I've read is sickening.

I think now they realize it is not all fun and games. But I am grateful for at least the Fox News reporters (not the ones they feed in from Sky News, etc). They seem to have a real appreciation for the troops and what is going on.
To: areafiftyone
thats not a horn, its the hydraulics from the turret on the Bradley he says.
Rick says aircraft flying over now. Close air support moving in.
To: Wphile
Rick sounds strong now. God keep them safe I pray.
To: Wphile
You're welcome, friend. Keep your thoughts and prayers on our brave warriors.
To: shadowman99
That's intense.
To: Helix
I guess I was wrong. They're saying it's not a horn.

Thanks.

Oh, I am sure they feel sorry NOW... but if they make it out alive, there will definitely be material for a book...

Lull in fighting -- just announced. Enemy may have been neutralized/destroyed. Not on the move yet.
To: Helix
He said earlier there wearing chemical suits. He had his mask under his elbow.

"they (US Marines) destroyed whatever was threatening us"...
To: shadowman99
All he said was south of Baghdad. God this is chilling. He just said all the fire is outgoing. He is in a light armored vehicle with a turret on top.
He has a porthole to look out of, and his photographer has a night vision camera, but they can't transmit the video.
Jets overhead dropping bombs on forward positions.
He sounds scared. He says he is in "uncharted territory" for US forces. He is close to the front (northernmost) area.

They (FOX News) seem to have a real appreciation for the troops and what is going on. That's why our troops watch Fox News exclusively!
