Can't believe they've gone back to regular programming; why not just carry on ESPN and call it a day

Is there really a need to have repetitive war coverage on every single channel 24 hours a day? Most people can't sit through the same news being reported over and over. If something major happens then they would obviously interrupt current programming but as it is they have an update about every 30 minutes.
