There isn't a day that goes by that my wife & I both wish we were younger so we both could sign up and take out some of these terrorists and tyrants.
Every time I hear about another of our troops down, it only makes us madder.
The B52's have taken off from Britain. So payback is imminent.

Picky Picky, I can always count on you logistical types to put the emphasis on the mundane! Now I shall repent and spell it correctly (STRESSES)!!!
My very best to you and I sincerely thank you for your continued service!!

You and me both, brother. I'm thinking this is just another case of wishful thinking on the part of the Hussein propaganda machine.
I come from a military family - we always serve. My Great-grandfather, grandmother, father, uncle, and brother have all served, and my daughter will now. She wasn't "supposed" to go military, but after Sept. 11, she felt that she was being called into the military. When she approached me about it, the first thing as asked her was if she could kill someone - for the lives of many would depend on her discharging her duty. She said yes. I believed her. But when I detailed to her what has happened to our POW's in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and now Iraq, and she replied that if it happened to her, she would be honored to join the ranks of those who have suffered for this nation.
I have no doubt that she can fulfill the duties of the post before her. I just wonder how on earth I will survive if the day came when uniformed men knocked on my door and told me my daughter was in the hands of the enemy. My heart bleeds for those who have suffered and will suffer at these hands of these immoral bastards.

Don't feel pregnant..
It's nothing compared to the time I refered to myself as the "Master Race" on a German thread (strictly in kidding, half the stuff I post is teasing someone, somewhere for something) and a Jewish FReeper didn't think it was amusing.
Geezel, she was MAD!

(Yes, there is sexual tension between Sammy & Frodo.)

The general public would naturally be more worried about a female soldier in enemy hands than her male counterpart.
That is why females have no business in combat.
Not because they cannot function, but because we cannot stomach harm coming to our mothers and daughters.
To: Mr. Mojo
My family are big VMI alumni involved...need I say more?
Shame is an understatement.

"I'm proud of my service. Combat doesn't happen with out logistics"
AND, Logistics isn't worth a good GD unless others use 'em!
Note to logistics: "with out" is one word.
Thank you for your service to our Great Country!
2."What makes you say that commanders won't let women into combat? Do you have some personal experience or know someone who has said that commander keep female aviators out of combat."

The only thing you missed is that Annyokie is my Civilian Copilot!!

I agree with you on no combat for women. I have decided not to mention lesbians anymore. I better get sensitivity training so I don't offend them.
To: annyokie
YES! Is there any reason that you are not sharing this experience? Tell us.

OK. I'm not sure what your game is. If you have something to say, then say it.
This has been a lovely thread. Let me recap. Fact: Women do fly combat missions. Unless you have something to add, Ill assume that we are done.
To: usconservative; johniegrad
I didn't think women were flying combat aircraft in combat situations. They're not. At least they weren't last time I checked.
I was there in 98-99 during DESERT FOX and there were two women pilots flying bombing runs... So, yes, they are definitely flying combat aircraft in combat situations...

Discretion is the better part of Valor. In case you hadn't taken notice, I was done some time ago.
Someone find a pix of a female DFC recepient and I'll get active again.
Best regards.
