I just listened to a MSNBC broadcast about the anti-war demonstrations going on in England. A couple of weeks ago there was 26% support, now it's at 52%. I would guess that the diverse population in England is going to make sure that they never ever again get involved in an armed conflict.
Unless we defeat the UN, I think the same thing will happen to the US.

Speaking of shredding, wonder if that BBC reporter has read the reports about PEOPLE going through the shredders in Iraq?? That's immaterial to them. It's stopping the American aggression that's the prime objective.
Patten: What if this war sets off a democratic wave throughout the ME.
BeebDweeb: You don't believe that do you? (Add mucho sneer here.)

Hearing the Iraqis speak about their love for America and thankfulness about President Bush's actions in Iraq, reminds me of the affection my own family has for this awesome country. Its such a deep love.It is sad to me that so many multiple generation Americans seem to have no idea of the world, their own freedom or the price that has been paid. I fortunately was raised in a family, like you, that treasures this country and the opportunity it has provided.

Major protest in New York. To think that this is where it all began. I weep for our country.
To: slimer
I would take those police vans and run over them.
Propaganda video on MSNBC now; Lester is at least pointing out that Iraqi AAA/SAMs would have come down completely unguided, and that a lot more of it was fired than of cruise missiles/bombs.

I will NEVER understand nor forget these people who are against getting rid of Saddam .. NEVER!
Will you notice one of two things:
1. Those supporting Saddam and the Iraqi government are either government officials or have a vested (financial) interest in the current Iraqi government.
2. Those supporting Saddam and the Iraqi government are third parties; people who have little or no direct knowledge of life (suppression) inside Iraq for the average Iraqi citizen. Thus, these supporters of Saddam have their own agendas that they are pursuing, using the Iraqi situation to further their own cause and not the cause of the average Iraqi citizen.

BeebDweeb didn't like the discussion of the sincere American desire for democracy in the Middle East. Moved on the sneering about freedom fries.
To: slimer

You know, I never quite understood why we didn't forward deploy the '52's in Italy in order to have a quicker turn-around.

Amazing that these Liberals are so OPENLY racist. They laugh at the idea of any non-whites being able to govern themselves. Must take care of our little brown brothers. Sickening.

Yep, you always hear them saying, "we should use this money not for war but for healthcare or education", blah, blah, blah.
Same tired old BS I've heard for 35 years.

I have bad thoughts concerning those people. Lord forgive me.

I been wondering the same thing...why the looong flights for the B-52's. Unless it has something to do with where the bulk of the ordinance is stored.

I've been looking at the Raleigh media websites to see if I could find any coverage & haven't seen any yet; but it doesn't look like they post much local news on the weekend.
