no...the Iraqi was complaining because the leaflets we have been dropping said we would be bringing food and medicine. He was asking where it is since the military was there.

Thank you for that. MSNBC is just so much agit-prop.

However, I assumed that the Iraqi was complaining about the "Oil for Food" program by the UN that has been a massive failure. The UN has let the Iraqi's down in a humongous way. It pats itself on the back for it humanitarian work that is actually a big, fat scam.

It was an Iraqi who had just been 'liberated' by US troops. He was complaining to a reporter why the US troops did not have food/water with them for the people. Was complaining about food for his children and 'wives'. By the looks of the guy, he was not starving and probably the reason they don't have food is he ate it all.

The shredder story has been on several times along with the mass gassing of the Kurds. When you go "for a purpose", then you are responsible for investigating PRIOR to such an undertaking.

If he doesn't get his food soon, he'll blame it on the Bush tax cuts! :-)

There was an article a while ago about how the UN and a few other counties were getting a nice chunk of change because of the "Oil for Food" program

In the end it was the Iraqi people that got screwed

I like this....

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

agreed

Brokejaw says that war sentiment is almost completely divided along party lines, R's for the war, D's against. I guess that means that upwards of 70% of America are Republicans!?!

I can't confirm either, but timing of B-52 launch NOW would indicate action after sunrise tomorrow.

Fox is discussing, as I suggested, Baghdad is not the target tonight, command and control is kaput, and the symbolic parts of the regime are kaput. Now the need is to soften the RG that lies outside of the city before our forces encounter on land.

Heeeeeere's Johhny! (the Nicholson version)

"Brokejaw says that war sentiment is almost completely divided along party lines, R's for the war, D's against. "

I believe the actual poll he was referring to had 93% Republican support and 50% Democrat support for the war. It's just wishful thinking on his part.
