between baghdad time and mountain time and cat naps and freeping... i don't have any sense of when anything happened anymore. it's really quite annoying.

i know for a fact that rita braver(?) said marines(?) had found wmd sometime yesterday(?) and the story ran for all of, oh, five minutes(?) then vanished. i know there were posts on these threads somewhere. or maybe it was a dream.

I was watching FoxNews over coffee this AM when my hubby, furious and truly upset, came pounding up from the family room to inform me that he had caught Gibson of ABC news interviewing a parent of a killed Marine. He then mentioned that Couric was doing the same thing. I wondered why these weekday creeps, whom I never EVER watch were on on Sat morning...but only for a second.

Of course they are capitalizing on the war and wanting to manage ratings. That's life, that's capitolism. But it isn't AMERICANISM when such horrendous interviews are meant to make news, promote dispiriting among out troops who are in danger at this very second, and propagate their not so subtle anti-Bush push in order to feed the anti-war portion of our nation.

Doing this at this time is hurtful, to the families who have lost loved ones, as as someone here mentioned, may regret their outburst days from now (ie., hubby said the father of the now deceased Marine told the camera directly that Bush is a murderer to Gibson) This same father may know deep down that his son was proud of his choice to serve, perhaps taking advantage of the benefits serving our nation offers, perhaps even motivated by a deep love of this country, whatever.

Gibson and Couric are using these families at the WRONG time for the families and for our nation and this is flat our SICK.

I called my local ABC and NBC stations and registered by shock and disgust. Since these major networks programs are not usually on on Sats...they both plead innocent...one staffer even said he was SICKENED by what was going on to! No local businesses are advertised on ABC 's special broadcast this AM here in Indy-

I also called the New York City htq for NBC and ABC and called to warn CBS ( local station )about doing the same filthy, offensive, wrong-headed, subversive abuse and betrayal of grieving families at this times.

If anyone else cares to call and leave a comment with these arrogant creepy news jerks- the phone numbers for NY are as follows...and believe me....they listen...emails would be good to...but PHONE CALLS cost money and represents thousands of folks, just like letters do.

It might be just fine to mention Lauer's stupidity about the lights....did Matt ever consider that leaving the TV's running is NOT only a good way to determine if Saddam is alive but that it is a GREAT way for our forces to communicate with the Iraqi's once Iraq is contained? Lauer and his ilk need a wake up call from some of the 75% of us Americans who SUPPORT OUT TROOPS and this PRESIDENT! Please call.

When threads are pulled, we generally see the reason, duplicate or such. When threads are locked there is rarely a reason given nor a worded link to the following/adjoining thread. However that's for Jim to take care of, not me.

You're right, I just didn't understand what you trying to tell the AM last night ... The cold meds did a number on my brains cells and slowed down my thinking ..

Rita Cosby is the commentator who said WMD were found. She said the location was not known, or not divulged, etc. It may have been true, and it is was an accurate report, the reason it isn't out is a good reason.

Actually, Cavuto is a fairly good anchor. He understandably feels a need to mention the stock markets from time to time, but he's much better than the morning show gang.
