"Was is error that the American flag was raised over Iraq yesterday?" Franks: that's in the eye of the beholder. It was used to achieve a certain mile-stone.

23 scud launchers?? That is the limit of "Scuds" themselves?? or launchers are re-loadable?? They are reloadable but it is time consuming and they will be taken out before they would have the chance to do it.

Nope, trained by Helen Thomas.Figures...
To: Howlin
At least 2 of the missiles that were launched on Kuwait were at least tentatively identified as Scuds.

Why are our future enemies, the Chinese, allowed in this briefing?!!!!!
To: steveegg
Hey, lady - the name is General Franks to you. And I hold a presser when I damn well please....
To: GOPyouth
Chinese reporter: General Flanks, why was this Presser delayed?
Franks: We're a bit sensitive about leaking information that risks that lives of our people.
To: Howlin
As far as I know, they have said that the missiles that the Iraqi's have lobbed were "not" scuds.

Whining about the lateness of the press conference.
A: Actually, many of the embedded reporters will tell you we're a bit sensitive about risking the lives of our people. Were we to have a presser what might happen on a certain day, then the risk of providing just that one piece of info risks life of operatives.

To: killjoy
That destruction would be the case if they would be out in the open. Do note that we didn't destroy any of the mobile launchers during Desert Storm because they hauled arse out of where they launched.

It's too early on the west coast for this kind of brainlessness. If I wasn't addicted to FR I'd go back to bed. I totally agree with you. Here it is 6:50 in the morning and I am already ready to throw a shoe at the TV. What a bunch of stupid questions.
To: GOPyouth
Terrific, Tommy is holding school for the children in the press!
To: mhking
Probably somewhere below your question, and above my response, you'll read that Iraq officials report 207 INJURED, less than 5 non-combatants killed in Baghdad.
To: Sacajaweau
I heard scuds and the ones that he was suppose to destroy.
