My Bad. I didn't realize the CENTCOM News conference was being discussed over here when I started another thread. My apologies.

Did that guy say 200 Iraqis have been killed? Where did that figure come from? The Iraqi CBS affiliate.
To: steveegg
Give us details on routing out terrorists...A: Can't give you too much.
To: SC Swamp Fox
That figure isn't confirmed I think, and quite possibly is inflated.

Gen. Tommy Franks:
"All of us who have served...have a certain feeling about the loss of a comrade." Nailing yet another reporter who brings up yet again the tragic loss of the troops.
"Actually, I have no idea where he is right now." Re. Saddam Hussein
"We have a committment to this operation. And our people have a committment."
"We would be hopeful that those with their fingers on their weapons....(follow Rummy's advice)...don't use it."
"War is the last resort. The final option. Non-combatants are injured and killed in a war. That is why (our military) goes to extraordinary lengths to (protect civilian casualties)."
"We are guided by principles."
"What we say from the various press centers associated with this coalition will be the absolute truth as we know it."

Wait...I'm NOT watching SNL right now??? Christopher Walken is on tonight. Probably will be a good show.
To: GOPyouth
Response: we are only 72 hours into this.
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
What a weenine. Mentioning not having seen WMD yet, and calling invasion basically fruitless.

We control the western part of Iraq, which is where he fired those missles from last time.
To: GOPyouth
WMD...Is it a big lie? A: A bit less than 72 hours into operation. Those weapons will be found and the people who produced them. There is no doubt.
To: SC Swamp Fox
"Was it a big lie?" - sounds like the Baghdad ABC affiliate...

To: RightWingMama
Of course, the foreign reporters may not follow all news conferences. E.g. yesterday an Australian reporter gave a "press conference" to his collegues from the non-coaliton-states and told them what he has heard.
