Kinda funny isn't it?
In "previous wars" the enemy sat and waited behind defenses, or attacked locally into your prepared defenses, or was active in their own attacks.
Here, as in Gulf War I, the enemy sits and waits until you drive up so HE can surrender. Leagally of course, several tried
(If he hasn't surrendered already to your unarmed robot drone airplane.)

going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion.Orignal to FR's own humblegunner

I heard earlier today that the US does not want to come out and say that Saddam is dead but they beleve he probably is.
They won't say it until they are 100% sure because if they did and then Saddam suddenly popped up it would be an embaressment to the US. - BUT - they believe with about 99% certainty that he is dead or very critically wounded.

Makes me think that our ground forces are a lot closer than has been officially disclosed. Makes me think that we may be entering the endgame. If so people will be studying this conflict for a long time to come.

let's combine our two words....the BLOVIATING democrats
will face FREEPERcussions in '04's elections
To: seamole
lol, who knows...it would just be funny. it's late, let me have my giggles.
To: Dolphy
Digging is a reference to two days ago, after first strike that may have killed Saddam. Now the hints of effects are getting more certain.
Can't help you with the notion of French involvment with surrender negotiation. I hope it's BS.
To: Mo1
this is a great sign.
gotta go read bedtime story books. back in a bit.
(no, to my little boy, silly.)

are you sure they arent digging now?? I got the idea they are digging at the 3/19 bunker but it is today..maybe I have that screwed up
To: RummyChick
however, how do we know it wasn't a double maybe they are looking for the real saddam Come on .... They would never bother digging for anybody except Saddamn, or one of his sons.
Unless they could get a "civilian wounded" shot.
To: slimer
I heard that too. I think there are probably several good reasons for "playing stupid" including taking control of the country before announcing his death. It seems that will be necessary if there is any hope of an orderly establishment of a new government.
To: All
so, I heard that France, Russia and Belgium are getting together to discuss strategy or some such on this war...what the hell does that mean?
To: Diddle E. Squat
wonder what's up with the digging?
