LOL, OH!!! You are 100% correct there, that's for sure. We'll have one of the most dangerous areas secured in 48-72 hours tops. This will give us a clean shot straight up to the north.

Ted just told Peter, "I'm not sure that's entirely true, Peter." When Peter was talking about how fast the vehicles move.

They remove the governors on the M-1 and can really burn some fuel at 65mph.

Fascinating that this operational plan appears to be the exact opposite of Gulf War I. We are using our air assets in ground support at the front, and moving our ground forces into Iraq with the greatest speed possible. We're taking ground right away. I would guess is the plan is to capture Basra while making a high speed run to Baghdad to invest the city.
It has to be unexpected because the American pattern has been the exact opposite since Gulf War I. We are leading on the ground and running hard and fast -- and most of our air power is being used specifically in support of the ground movement, not going after strategic targets in the capitol.

Almost like a Stonewall Jackson battle plan.

Well, it weighs 140,000 lbs and can move at 45 M.P.H.. Physics says that a lot of energy has to be expended to make that happen.

Looks like the ground is leading this charge...the best coverage is on CNN..they have live feed running with the 7th Cav...right now.

Considering the left hook to invest the city from the west, yes.

LOL. Please do not use the word "Koppel" and "tank" in the same sentence. ROFL. It bring to mind nightmares of Dukakis.
To: BushMeister
you and I know that but to make it a point disdainfully is bush league
To: Shaka
I don't have cable, have to depend on the broadcast networks, although I do get Fox News on broadcast now.

The Hitler/Manstein/Guderian plan was also more or less the opposite of the Schlieffen Plan. Of course, the Schlieffen Plan had failed.
To: Shaka
Damm Ted was talking about this being an invasion, and blaming the administration.

Wow, that is an amazing looking long line of tanks. I can't help but wonder if this is being done for the Iraqi soldiers...so they can see what is coming.

Koppel looks a lot like Dukakis (although I think he looks more like Howdy Doody).
To: FreeTheHostages
man you nailed it...seeing TEd in usa military fatigues makes my stomack sick add to the mix that whore of a daughter at CNN who hates Dubya
To: Shaka
Thanks for the heads up. They are realy moving, aren't they?
To: aristeides

oh, it's not just the daughter.
Koppel's son is a lawyer who got arrested when he was a law student for -- get this -- roughing up someone in an ATM bank line in order to get his $ out of the machine faster!!
IT'S GENETIC!!!
Also Ted Koppel is suing one of his neighbors here in DC for building a house that Ted Koppel thinks is too big near Koppel's house.
