The argument was that because the PLF claimed that one of their members was killed in Iraq, this proves a connection between Saddam and terrorist organizations.
This is faulty because it is the only premise given. It is not stated how accurate the PLF report is, nor does it show that Saddam was aware of the PLF's member's affiliation.
I'm not saying that Saddam has no ties to terrorist organizations (it's rather apparant that he does), and I'm not saying that it's not possible that there is a link between the PLF and the Iraqi government, I'm just offering that it's possible that the reports don't imply what some people are getting from them...

I was so PO'd with Byrd last night. I was at working looking at C-SPAN waiting for the President, and I watched five seconds of that big bag o' gas before clicking on C-Span 1 and watching some Iraqi TV before the President spoke.
The Iraqi show was pretty much saying the same thing as Byrd but it seemed more tolerable from them.

His comment about Abu Abbas "escaping" into Yugoslavia is somewhat misleading. The U.S. tried to persuade the Italians to stop the plane he was on from taking off. The Italians refused. The Italians were complicit in his "escape".
