I was thinking about Leahy this morning also. He seems to leak very important intel everytime we do something militarly. So hopefully, Rumsfeld has had him killed or they gave him bad intel so that he can misinform the Iraqis.

Let's remember, the Dems want us to fail. They put politics before country. Byrd has gone nuts. Daschle is having a breakdown. Kennedy is pickled. All they have left is to leak info damaging to America and filibusters. They're pathetic.

I agree with your analyis, Fishtalk! They will want to be absolutely sure, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear in the next few days that the war was basically won with the surgical strike.

Rumsfeld is alluding to certain knowledge that people are going "though that decision process" in Iraq, said decision process being, I assert with even more confidence after this Rummy conference, to give it up...that Saddamn is gone.

Maybe it's because we're women we see it this way but hey, lately I've been talking about Scuds, Sunburns, Patriot PAC 2 and 3's as if a newborn munitions expert.

I really think this thing is over. Which leads me to speculate further on how Cheryl Crow, the Dixie Chicks, Tom Daschle ad nauseum, will handle this amazing news.

He could easily have brushed that question aside. That he should claim there is an unresolved debate regarding the identity of the speechmaker preserves doubt that Saddam is alive.

Peter Jennings was playing on the radio here in So. CA -- he is so dour, saying things along the lines that the optimism of early war is often not borne out, "I'm not suggesting anyone is lying" (about what I'm not clear) -- asking someone about "this business" about whether Hussein might have been killed -- every word and phrase calibrated to throw cold water on the viewer. Good thing I don't actually watch him on TV!
