I'm worried that we'll give them time to recover.
That would be foolish.
However, I strongly suspect that we'll see more bombing.

Agree. The quicker we press this home, now that we have them on the ropes, the safer it will be for our troops and the innocent Iraqis.

"Note the Times just let the impression lie there...the US is fighting an illegal war. Grrrrrrr."
I think Ann Couter has the NYT's number
"It became clear the nation was finally going to war with Iraq this week when the New York Times pulled two dozen reporters off the Augusta National Golf Club story."

Do you think the "shock and awe" being on again, off again is part of psy-opsI think so and for our detractors it would be shocking if the regime fell without a full blown military attack. I think this is their first goal. Imagine the threat to others if they saw how easily their own ruthless regimes can be defeated when their own turn against them. They will see how fragile they are.

If Saddam becomes a fugitive, like OBL, that's fine with me. We can put a price on his head. How many friends do you think he will have, now that he is no longer in power? Not even Chirac, who would turn in his own mother for $25 million.
Fox News Channel said today that one of the Iraqi missiles shot down on its way to Kuwait was confirmed to be a scud. Also, according to reports on FNC, Saddam has a couple dozen mobile missile launchers that are well concealed in the desert. We have people on the ground there who are looking for them.
You make a good point that Saddam would want to launch his last missiles at Israel rather than Kuwait. However, consider that the army that's attacking him is massed and controlled in Kuwait, not in Israel.
