The perfect answer to the Leftist America-haters---when they say it's all about OIL, you just agree with them:

Sorry,
British 3 Commando Brigade is securing the Iraqi coastline with NGS (Naval Gunfire Support) fron the Australian frigate HMAS ANZAC. This is unconfirmed as yet.

Lost power for awhile and what was worse than ABC radio is CBS radio -- UGH! Don't remind me of my early days before satellite when I had to watch ABC,CBS, NBC, or PBS. having FOX is worth the entire monthly cable bill, almost.

Interesting info on BBC News web site (excerpt below ) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/2870033.stm
Royal Marine Commandos launched an aerial and amphibious assault on strategically important 'Red Beach', providing a foothold for an assault on Baghdad.

For perspective...
In the 1967 Six Day War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Radio Cairo kept reporting how Egyptian troops were entering into Tel Aviv, or how they were destroying Jewish troops.
Then, someone would have to tell Nasser/Sadat the truth... not only were the Jews winning, but Egypt was in retreat with the Israeli army in hot pursuit.
Know this... when Iraq says that they are winning; they are lying.
Do not be alarmed... or upset... They are lying.

I went out in my car to listen to the radio as it gets better coverage than my portable one in the house.

Is "Red Beach" on the Persian Gulf? Can't see any other beach head possibility.

It doesn't matter if they lie or not...the anti-American filth in this country will believe it anyway.
And after this is over, they'll be spouting lies themselves with no evidence. I bet they'll claim another 250,000 civilians died and the Bush Admin is covering it up.

I don't know and if I did I couldn't tell you. Back in the '70s, we were worried about the EMP effects of nuclear weapons, both tactical and strategic. That's all open source.
