Remember the scene in "Apocalypse Now" where the Air Cav attacks the Vietcong village, and "Ride of the Valkyries" is blaring from a speaker on the lead copter? I was wondering what songs would be apropos for this war? Any good ideas? I thought a good one would be "The End" by The Doors.

I don't know of a specific song but I hope it is a peaceful relaxing one. This (war) is not good anytime but I do feel this one is necessary.I do pray for all.

Aah, another Freeper Priest fan.
I listened to "Blood Red Skies" at full volume on my walkman while watching the artilley and airstrike glow on the horizon, moments befor the ground war started in GWI. I'll never forget it.

"This is the first of the ninth: Air Cav, son, Air Mobile!" (Col. Kilgore)
And another good song is "Screaming for Vengeance" by Judas Priest.

How about the tune from the Carol Burnett Show, that she always sings at the end:
I'm so glad we had this time together
just to have a laugh or sing a song
seems we just get started, and before you know it -
comes the time we have to say,
So Long.

My vote: "I'm Free", by the Who.
I'm free, I'm free
And freedom tastes of reality
I'm free, I'm free
And I'm waiting for you to follow me.
Translating it into Arabic might be a nice touch.
