WASHINGTON (AP) - The parents of American peace activist killed by an Israeli bulldozer are calling for an investigation of the incident by U.S. authorities. The parents of 23-year-old Rachel Corrie, joined by Rep. Brian Baird, D-Wash., said it was important for the United States to hold Israel to the same standards it would hold a U.S. soldier to in similar circumstances.

If you see this,
RUN! Do not gather tofu.
Do not sit down.

Who paid for her trip? I am assuming she does not have to work or apparently attend school regularly. She was stupid.
I'm sure the "free mumia" crowd will rally around this cause next.

You have a way with words...lol

"There are Israelis who feel devastated about what happened," said Cynthia Corrie. "There's been a great outpouring of sympathy."
She was stupid, yes, but she didn't deserve to die.
To: tomahawk
This all happened 1 month AFTER she was photographed burning an American flag.
She burns the flag, and now her parents use the government to seek an investigation into her death.
Forget the investigation; it's simple: stand in front of moving bulldozer--->get run over--->die. No need for an investigation.

"Oh muh God, this bulldozer is like, really heavy."
Memo to Human Shields:
Recent labratory testing indicates that the body mass of airheaded, vegan, patchouli-soaked, college coeds, is insufficient to stop the forward motion of armoured vehicles of any sort. We have also discovered that US (or Israeli)_ military ordinance DOES NOT disarm in the presence of mindless, sloganeering, unwashed, dropouts. Please keep this in mind as you continue not making a difference in the world.

Hey parents. Get "Smart." Your daughter was simply trying to crawl over the dozer's blade and get to her husband after being kidnapped by him nine months ago.
Face it, she was in a cult just started by the driver.
It's 10pm parents, did you know where you daughter was?

You've got to be joking. Nature often levies a death penalty on stupidity. It is a crime that is punished with natural consequences, imposes a sentence carried out instantaneously, and has no appeal process.
Did'nt deserve to die, my clymer. The kid in the intersection that gets hit by a drunk driver running a red light does'nt deserve to die. However, this moron could'nt even figure out the difference between a war zone and the steps in front of the Evergreen State University Bookstore. When you are too stupid to figure out the difference between "safe" and "dangerous", your life expectancy is going to reduced. She deserved to die as much as the idiot that tries to get through a railroad crossing because he is 10 minutes late for a business meeting.

Was she wearing pancake makeup?
Will her parents inquiry fall as flat as their daughter?
Peace Activists ranks are thinned?
Is there a blade of truth or tread of evidence?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Let me see if I understand this: My daughter gets killed by being run over by a bulldozer in a place she had no business being. That was several days ago. The father says that no one from the Israeli government has contacted him.
It would seem to me that if I were really a caring and loving parent, I would have been in touch with the Israeli government immediately. I would have advised them that I would be flying to Israel on El Al ASAP, request their assistance in getting the required visas to enter the country, and request their assistance in coordinating the return of myself with my daughter's remains.
What am I missing here? This guy's daughter is dead, and he hasn't even gone to claim her remains. Unbelieveable.

The bulldozer driver could have turned the bulldozer off and had her arrested. Then she could have been deported. I see no reason to attempt to justify a completely avoidable action that resulted in the death of a civilian. That house did not have to come down at that very moment. She stood in front of a bulldozer, not a firing squad.
