[history]
Jody Mason of Olympia is locked to the Washington State Grange office building Tuesday to protest war. He intended to chain himself to a federal Department of Energy office building, but discovered he was at the wrong location.
OLYMPIA -- A man spent hours chained to the wrong building Tuesday in an ill-planned effort to protest war with Iraq, police said. Jody Mason padlocked himself to an entrance of the Washington State Grange building at 924 Capitol Way S., thinking it was a sub-office of the U.S. Department of Energy.

But...but...why can't the police charge him with simple stupidity??
A friend's son started to explore his college options. He told his Mom & Dad he decided he wanted to go to Evergreen.
His Dad flipped and said "pick another college, any other college. My money will not go to Evergreen and neither will my son!"

Not too long ago a group of anti-war protesters stopped across the street from my office and proceeded to start their boringly predictable ranting in front of what they thought was the Federal Building. They were only off by one block... they spent 30 minutes protesting in front of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco before a police officer pointed out that the Federal Building was... thataway.

OK, but at least that was the "Federal" something. It was at least remotely part of the federal government. This guy chained himself to a building belonging to a Washington-State-only private foundation that specializes in helping rural farmers. I mean, this guy is so stupid that you wonder (to steal MississippiMan's line) how his brain is still able to make his heart and lungs operate.
And, what the **** is with that "REDUCE DEFICIT" sign? This guy can't possibly be paying any taxes.

Laughed myself into a coughing fit. I think we need to install eyebolts outside all agricultural service buildings nationwise. I need more humor in my life!

Good one! to which I'd only add a nice ziploc bag packed with hemp. I think he'd suddenly remember where he put the key right quick.

Sounds like the Washington State Grange office is having too much fun! Is the California State Grange office this much fun? In Ohio, we can only muster up a murdered drug dealer in front of the building. I'd much rather have a crazy tree hugger attach to our building, then I think the Ohio State Grange President would probably have us all go out the back door then set the place on fire.
Another one bites the dust!

I know how you feel. I not only laughed until I coughed, I then needed cough syrup, and got a terrible headache from laughing so hard. I'm thinkin about calling the local emergency squad for "difficulty breathing", except I am afraid my picture would end up on the front page of the local newspaper with the caption: "Ohio Grange Legislative Director dies while laughing, coughing and wetting!"
To: B4Ranch
Yes, I got it. I came here straight away. I was gone all morning so I didn't get it until this afternoon. Absolutely hilarious.

I called Bob and told him he needed to call Terry and find out why they had protester in front of their building. He was cracking up when I told him why they were there. I think he will call and give Terry a hard time. Oh to be a fly on the wall.
