The only thing I ever watch is Joan (who is a Republican IIRC) mocking people on the red carpet. I don't think they are doing that this year either. Oh well, it was a timesink.

This impending war has literally got the majority of the Left having hissy-fits; nothing is worse to a narcissistic Liberal-especially a Hollywood Liberal-than having the spotlight taken off of them. That's basically what most of the awards shows have become-an exercise in self-worship.
...And speaking of these so-called 'journalists', Bah-Bah's NBC counterpart Katie Couric was quoted this morning on a talk-radio show (by a caller) as asking the New York City Police chief where the safest (or securest) places were in the city; yeah, just give a fledgling terrorist a convenient target-way to go, Kate!

I'm sure we won't miss Barbara's profound question: If you were a tree what would you be?

They can continue their Oscars, but I strongly urge against broadcasting them worldwide.
No reason why they can't be untelevised and for the benefit of the industry only.
We cannot afford to allow these types to usurp our culture and represent all of us, when they clearly represent the fringe.

It would make me very happy to think Rove/Bush did this on purpose, so I will.
