Okay - so far rumors have it that Tariq Aziz has: 1. Run off to Turkey
2. Fallen into the hands of the Kurds
3. Been shot trying to escape Iraq
Sounds like he wants Tourist Guy's lifestyle.

If he was shot, which I doubt, we didn't do it. Bush gave them a "get out of dodge deadline".

"But on the bright side, if Azziz gets interrogated or has a deathbed confession, he might be able to help stick it in the eye of france, germany, russia weasels by disclosing how he was forced to lie about NBC programs..."
Let's hope he makes it out alive for that very reason.

I was looking for him to be captured and sing and sing...
We need some to be tried, hanged, and shot.

"This is bad news for the coup..... "
Nonsense. If the guy was running there was no chance of a successful coup, nor should we support any figure like Aziz even if he did escape.

Where did you hear that Tarek Aziz's son is in jail?
I've been trying to confirm this for the longest time. I could've sworn I heard Charles Krauthammer say it on FoxNews a while back, but I'm just not sure.
If true, it would explain a lot. If not, then good riddance to him.

Sol, make me a suit. I'm going to shoot Buckwheat, and I want to look good on TV.

Tony Snow on Fox after President's Monday Deadline speech said his son was imprisioned but was released. Aziz said his son had been cleared.

I don't remember where, but I definitely remember hearing the same thing, that Tariq Aziz's son had been arrested & jailed, for some kind of political crime (embezzlement or something).

Where in the world is Tariq Aziz?? :^)

Is it me, or does this clown remind you of a cross between Peter Sellers & Darrin's boss on Bewitched? Ever since I first saw Tariq Aziz on the news in 1990, I that if Peter Sellers were still alive, he could play him in the movie. Of course, if Tariq Aziz were still alive, he could play him in the movie.
Hadn't made the Larry Tate connection yet, but I can see it. Aziz, though, worked for Dick Tate(r).

Where did you hear that Tarek Aziz's son is in jail? This was mentioned in a column by Christopher Hitchens a couple of months ago.
