The tyrant will soon be gone. With those words, President Bush left no doubt with Saddam Hussein or with the world that the years of a brutal dictatorship in Iraq will soon be over. In an address to the American people, and to the Iraqi people, Bush reiterated the many steps for diplomacy and peace that the United States and her allies have followed in the past 12 years- to no avail. The President told the Iraqis that their liberation is near and warned any Iraqi soldiers to think twice before releasing chemical or biological weapons. Bush also issued warnings to any terrorists that, 'If our enemies dare to strike us, they and all who have aided them, will face fearful consequences.' Earlier in the day, Bush met with congressional leaders and outlined tonights speech, and ultimately prepared them for military conflict. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I know I will.

I remember singing this song at the top of my lungs when we FINALLY won the Presidential election. It seems so appropriate for the Iraqi people now too.
Let Freedom ring,
Let the white dove sing.
Let the whole world know that today,
Is a day of reckoning.
Let the weak be strong,
Let the right be wrong.
Roll the stone away,
Let the guilty pay,
It's Independence Day.

I have a feeling once the Iraqi people know for sure and with out a doubt that Saddam is gone and won't come back .. they will be crying tears of joy
Can you just imagine what life under Saddam has been like.

I cannot imagine. I've seen all the documentaries...but there is no way ANY of us can imagine that type of oppression, imo.

He said it was refreshing to work with Bush because Bush could make a decision! Guess he prefers W's decisiveness to clinton's rambling. Wise choice Tony! WOW .. Tony said that??
WOW .. Slammed Clinton .. GOOD!

Annan really made me mad tonight when he said that the fact we were going to attack Iraq without a SC sanction - our actions would be illegal. What an idiot!!

My best friend was in love with Davy and her sister liked Mike. We used to pretend to be the Monkees using badminton rackets as guitars. LOL .. we did that too when we were kids .. and the DeFranko Family was big around our way also
Oh those were the days .. did I mention I went to the Monkees Reunion Concert back in the 80's

I hope that you folks can do something to get rid of him before he truly emerges on the national scene. Like maybe in 2008?

It will take at least 3 weeks to receive the box or a letter, so I am preparing the Easter care package box now. Pictures of the rallies for the troops wouldn't get over there until Iraq is hopefully all over, although you never know about that and I'm sure they'd be happy to see them anyway.
I sent the Valentine care packages in January. And the Christmas ones went out in November; they just made it on Dec.24th and one of the sergeants remarked, "Santa Claus is coming tonight!"
So far the box for Easter contains, Videos: The Rookie, Enemy at the Gate, Windtalkers, Hamlet (Mel Gibson), Romeo and Juliet (Zeffirelli), The 6th Day (Schwarzenegger), Predator (Schwarzenegger), 13th Warrior (Banderas), The Bone Collector (Denzel Washington), Casablanca, Return to Me (David Duchovy), Unforgiven (Clint Eastwood), Life of Jesus. Book: Nor Crystal Tears (Alan Dean Foster) Music tape: Last of the Mohicans soundtrack.
