..., a Frenchman who built the Chevrolet, and a pair of French brothers who invented the movies? Wow.... with credentials like that, why aren't we taking advice from the French? < /sarcasm>

As it is with this Unwashed Blowhard Mr. Moore, the devil is in the details. Tell enough lies and repeat them often and you look like a real scholar.
You would think that him being "in" film and hailing from Flint he would know the following:
"...a pair of French brothers who invented the movies"
In 1884, George Eastman invented flexible photographic film and in 1887, Edison patented the motion picture camera. Mr. Moore must be thinking of the Lumiere Brothers but that happened in 1895 - four years after Edison's "Kineograph" was being publicly demonstrated. This is first-year Film student stuff.
"...a Frenchman who built the Chevrolet"
W.C. Durant - from Flint founded Chevrolet and named the company for a racer the company sponsored - Louis Chevrolet.
NEVER take Mr. Moore at his word. Little things like facts get in his way, so he just LIES. In Revolutionary War times, the British were the enemy along with the mercenary Hessians, the French our allies. Times HAVE changed.
