The fact that the 1st Cav and Armored are not in theater ready to go is a bit disturbing. My buds in the 1st Cav have been bemused, to say the least, as to the logic of the deployments.
After reading the Stratfor analysis of Army deployment delays and foul ups, it seems much of the diplomacy was an attempt to kill time so the Army could get it's sh*t together in terms of deployment.
I'm sure Rumsfeld is pissed.
