Make them vote. All who vote "no" are not friends of the United States.

By making these countries vote up or down, it would confirm what many of us have known all along about where their loyalties reside.

The UN won't vote, they'll delay. Saddam won't disarm. I think we're looking at presidential address tomorrow night and the beginning of the liberation of Iraq in the early hours of Tuesday.
To: Republican_Strategist
Screw the vote, it is time for the United States to take it's interest to heart and impose it's will.

Enough already... screw the UN.
The time has come to unleash our military onto Saddham's future.
Let the chips (Republican Guard) fall where they stand.
May God bless our troops in this endeavor!!

There will be no vote and that will put the UN business to rest.

It would be sweet if while the Security Council were in session this next week, when Colin Powell is recognized and is given the floor to speak, he simply reads a statement something like this, "Despite the actions of this council to thwart and undermine the efforts to liberate the people of Iraq from a ruthless dictator and destroy his WMD's per Resolution 1441, two hours ago, the Liberation of Iraq began, and this body has now officially be relagated to the trash heap of history." And then simply walk out. Ahhh what a nice daydream that is.

I agree the U.N. is worthless, but I wan't to see which nations stand with us and which go on the Sh*t list.

Well, that may not be exactly what happens, but I believe we're about to witness something quite equivalent to that.

Interesting note on the newswires today that the U.N. is pulling out it's helicopters that are being used ferry the inspectors around Iraq and Germany has told it's citizens in Iraq to beat feet for safer areas. Sounds to me like the Pres. is about to tell the troops to assemble on the LD (line of departure) and move out north and engage the enemy.

I agree with you. I want the vote, to see who's who.
I want the vote so that people in each of the countries voting can see whether their leaders sided with Saddam or with the US, with terror or against.
I want to the vote so we know who do to business with and which countries might need their own regime change in the future.
I want the vote, because even 8 of 15 is still a victory of sorts.
I want the vote, because until you vote, the people on the sidelines are negotiating. Trying in effect to get bribes, for what should be a simple case of doing the right thing. The vote ends that.

Good job! That's one of those languages that I almost understand as is, but don't have time to learn. Spanish with rhythm and hand signals.
